salams Im not an alim so I dont want to debate his answer but I know many other alims say its haraam Nasheeds with musical instruments. I saw this documentary once about a girl and Nasheeds artists. She loved the artist as opposed to the message. She had posters of them as opposed to the message of nasheeds.
Maybe this is a trick of shaitaan in starting off an Islamic Pop culture..Everything has a beginning. Soon Quran will be sung with musical instruments and this is one of the signs of Qiyamah. (judgement Day).
