A Good Christian

A conversation between a Muslim and a Christian.....

Chritian:"What happened to you? You used to come to church every sunday."

Muslim: "I was not getting what I needed from church. I felt like I was missing something."

Christian:"What could have been missing? There is a wonderful fellowship here. There are many opportunities to study and pray with others in the congregation, and there is nothing like this choir!"

Muslim:"Well, I just felt like I was not getting the whole truth. I read and read and read the Bible, but parts of it just don't make sense. And when I would go to the Pastor for help, he would send me round and round round trying to find the answers."

Christian:That seems a bit hard to beleive. What you should have done was get a different translation of the Bible. I have the King James, The New Life Revision, The Living Water Revision, The Women's study Bible, and The power of a Pryaing Wife, and Mother versions."

Muslim:"And that's confusing too! Why are there soooooo many different versions and translations of the Bible if they all say the same thing? Did not God say He was NOT the author of confusion????"

Chrisitan:"Yes, He did. And this is not confusing. Jesus said he is the way, the truth, and the life. No man entereth unto the Father but by Me'."

Muslim:"Yes. He did say that. And all the prophets were the way to God. Thier lives are the truth! But He also says repeatedly that he does nothing of his own power. He says that he does the work of the One who sent him. He says that he seeks no glory for himself..."

Christian:"ok.ok. Maybe you should have just found a new church home, or even tried a new denomination. But to leave Christ all together....you are setting yourself up for failure,"

Muslim:"Denominations....why are there soooooooooo many denominations, if they all believe the same thing????? More confusion. I needed answers, so I asked God to show me the truth. The truth is plain and so simple."

Christian:"Really? How is that when you do not celebrate the birth of Christ? It was miraculous. You don't celebrate Easter. Another miracle. This new life of yours must be hard. You don't dress the same. Look at you! how can you go out like that. I know people look at you strangley with your hair all covered and that over-sized dress. And you don't eat pork and other stuff, so I know you have a hard time finding food when you go out to eat....You can't be happy with that!!!"

Muslim:"Despite what you may think, I feel MORE beautiful being covered this way. And no, I do not celebrate easter because Jesus DID NOT die on the cross. And Yes! His brith was a miracle. And sad to say this to you, but the many many many versions of the Bible you have tell YOU not to eat pork either. So why come down on me about what I look like and what I eat?"

Christian:"I am just trying to tell you to repent! Save your soul from an eternity in Hell!"

Muslim:"I beleive in the ONENESS of The Almighty God! I Pray and remeber all the wonderful things I have been blessed with 5 or more times a day! how many times a day do you pray? And on the day of judgement, I will be saved from an eternity in the Hell fire because I seek only the Pleasure of Allah subhana wa'ta'ala!! All things i do for HIM alone. He needs no partners. He has no kids. He can do all things alone."

Christian:"I am a good Christian, and I urge you to follow my example and come back to the church!"

Muslim:"I am a better Christian because I serve the same God; the One and Only God that Jesus served!"
