After the wedding

Date: 03 Aug 2008, 9:42 pm / Mood: confused

i went 2 my first islamic wedding today it was alot diffrent than what i thought it would be (well how i was told) maybe cos it was in Africa? anywy at the end i saw the bride my friend she was dressed rlly nice in a white dress and a white veil covering her face.

when she lifted the veil  she  had a blank expresion on her face n looked upset. in my head i was thinking theres definatly something wrong, like she had regretted getting married.

2 b honest i dnt think she realy wanted 2 get married in the first place its just the parents put the idea into her head n u kno if u really love n respect your parents u can allow them 2 push u 2 do something ya heart dosnt want 2 do. in a few surahs it says be  respect/dutiful to your parents but if theres an issue or situation in which u feel strongly against  and your parents are strongly for it  what is the best or most suitable action to take?

Salams Did she confide her regret to you or are you just speculating about her feelings based
on her face????
these kinds of assumptions are very dangerous  and can lead to gossiping which is a sin .

If you dont know her situation dont talk about it.

Fear Allah
