Today I want to share with you this hadith of Abu Huraira (ra) as reported by Muslim, in which the Messenger of Allah (saw) said: “By the One in whose hands is my soul! None of you can enter Jannah until you believe and none of you can believe until you love each other for Allah’s sake. Shall I not direct you to something, which if you do it, will bring love between you? Do spread the salutations among you”. Saying salaam to a Muslim/Muslimah is like loving him/her for the sake of Allah. It also shows that you love this particular servant of Allah due to his/her imaan and obedience to Allah. So sister, each time when you see that I have visited your MuslimSpace page, then do consider that its my way to say salaam to you over and over again, even though I did not write it down in your guestbook. As Salamu Alaikom Wa Rahmatullahi Wa Barakatoh.
There were many Prophets (May peace be on all of them) before Prophet Muhammed...those prophets also had titles...like Musa AS or Moses who had the title "Kaleemullah" meaning the one to whome Allah had talked to and Ibraheem AS or Abraham who had the title "Khaleelullah" meaning a very dear friend of Allah and similarly others were given titles too...etc etc....Similarly Muhammed SAW was also given the title of "Rasoolullah" meaning the Messenger of Allah.....One thing to be noted is that All Prophets and Messengers of Allah were sent to a particular nation like Musa AS or Moses was sent to the Children of Israel....Isa or Jesus AS was sent to the people who were later known as Christians and so on...but Prophet Muhammed SAW was sent as the Last and Final Prophet and he was sent to all and not to a particular nation because he was the Final messenger....and so for his nickname...Hope that answers you question.....that doesnot mean others were not messengers Fi Amanillah...Wallahu Khairan Hafiza Wahuwa Arham ar Rahimeen.
