Science and Islam

Sometimes people are concerned because of what they see as a conflict between science and Islam, and they think science is attacking Islam. Science is just a method for studying Allah's creation, and there can be no conflict between Allah's creation and Allah's din.



 



When the resuts of scientific study seem to conflict with Islam, there are two possibilities. The first is that the scientific understanding might be wrong. Fortunately, scientific method has built-in ways to double check and correct ideas that are wrong. The second possibility is that traditional understandings of din might be wrong. To correct this, we need deeper scholarhip and deeper thinking to correct our misunderstandings. To incorporate new information provided by science, traditional understandings sometimes may need adjustment. This does not imply that Islam is wrong in any way, but that our human understandings may be wrong.

Jazak Allah khaira, many scholars from their childhood didn't see TV or read books about scientific subject only Islamic books and unfortunately we hear from them fatwas about scientific subject, the scholars must have at least minimum knowledge about sciences

well that is right what you are saying, but  there are many issue that if you study more in details the early schoolars didnt put a fullstop to the science. to bring more light on this issue we need to analyse a specific poblem. of course we should bear in mind the concensus of schoolars, because if there is a concensus for an issue the so called scientific method is wrong, if we understand the concensus the science wont never confront the Deen, because many people use the term Science and Islam which is wrong it should be Islam is the science.
