salahideen
A short reminder. for verily reminding benifits the believers.
Take the Quran
Abu Al-'Âliyah reports that a man once asked 'Ubay b. Ka'b – Allah be pleased with him – for advice. He said:
Take the Book of Allah as your leader (imâm) and be pleased with it as a judge and ruler. It is what your Messenger left amongst you. It will be an intercessor for you. It is to be obeyed. It is a witness never doubted. In it is a mention of you and those before you, and judgment for whatever happens amongst you. And in it is news about you and whatever will come after you.

Salaams just a little somethin to help us out.
Son, have you put it into practice?'Atâ' narrates that there used to be a young man who used to go to Mother of the Believers 'Â'ishah to ask her questions and she would narrate to him. One day, he came to her to ask her some questions. She said, "Son, have you put into practice what you hear from me yet?" He replied, "No mother, I have not." So she said, "Son, why do you them seek to increase Allah's proof against us and you?!"

wa'salaam
I met your cousin Laylah through my friend Annisah last summer... Alhamdulillah. As we are both muslimahs in NYC- we see one another around at different events- so... Mashallah it's a beautiful thing to be Muslim. :-)
Allah says in Qur'an, “For every nation We have specified a rite (for slaughtering) so that they may take the name of Allah Ta'ala upon (the slaughter of) the animals granted to them as sustenance.” (Al-Hajj 22:34) This is explained as the most important condition to be performed at the time of slaughter is pronouncing the name of Allah.
Allah also says, “And consume not of that whereupon the name of Allah Ta'ala was omitted (at the time of slaughter). Indeed it is a transgression. Verily the Shayateen inspire their friends to cause division with you. If you obey them, you are indeed Mushriks (ascribing partners to Allah).” (Al-An'am 6:121)
and also, “So take the name of Allah upon them (at the time of slaughter) while they stand in rows.” (Al-Hajj 22:36). In reference to Camels which are slaughtered by Nahr (a swift stab of the neck which severs the four arteries) while standing. The verses clearly explain the impermissibility of the meat of those animals whose slaughter was not preceded by tasmiyah. Also, the scholars explain this as the impermissibility of the meat of those animals whose lives were ended by means other than Zabah (Shar'ee slaughter) of which tasmiyah is a condition. All such animals are Maytah (carrion) and are expressly forbidden. In reference to the slaughter which is performed by a kafir (non-believer) is haraam. However, those Ahlul Kitaab (People of the Book) who also believed in the requirement of tasmiyah at the time of slaughter have been excluded from the Kuffaar majority.
Asslamu alaikum my lil brother how is everything? Inshallah everything is well with you.
Allah Hafiz,
