My Conversion To Islam
Date: 16 Sep 2007, 2:23 am / Mood: grateful
Well My story begins about 2 years ago. I picked up a book at the local library on Islam. I read this book wich was called Islam for dummies. I was very impressed with what I read and decided to read futher into the subject. Also at this time I had big questions in my own faith. Was I really close to God and did i feell god was with me and loved me. Was a being a good christian or just going through the motions. As I keep reading book on Islam and the Prophet Mohammad I realized that I was not close to God and that in fact I was lost matter of fact from birth I was lost I read that you are born Muslim but that your culture and parents sometimes lead you astray from that path. So I really wanted to get my life in order and follow the commands of God and be a good christian but In fact I was being called to Islam and I knew in my heart thats was wear god was but need more time so about a year passed and I still read but kinda held of on any desicions. I was at barnes and noble and decided to buy the Qur'an I did and a muslim freind of mine said its nice to see you reading the word of Allah and I grantee once your read you'll know Islam is the right path. So I did and I found out that yes it was the right path and I had been going on the wrong path for many years in my life. SO I ask my freind can i go to masjid and watch and learn she said yes so for another half of year i studyied and observed and then at a coomunity function the masjid put on I said to my freind out of the blue I am rwady and want to become Muslim and start serving God. So she got witnesses and I said my shahaddah and now I am Muslim and feell as though I have found who I am and what Allah wants for me. This is my very first Ramadan and I am so happy and I love to be Muslim an I totally also recently decided to wear hijab. So that is my story and I am so happy I picked that book up at the libary that day.

Masha'Allah! Conversion stories are always so great to read!

Whoever Allah guides, he is the guided, and whoever Allah misguide then you shall never find someone to guide him.
I ask Allah subhanahu wa Ta`al to make youfrom those who are guided (and all of us too)
