Lets work to build Islamic Children's libraries in all our masjids... LET US put our MONEY where our complaining tends to be! Its not the kids fault they are going astray

I am a GRANDPARENT.... That's my job. Spoil my grandkids & enjoy their antics. LOL. Here is a pic of my newest granddaughter, Tando.

But on a more serious note....

If we want a strong Ummah, we need to start having STRONGER education for our children, with a greater level of Islamic knowledge being taught to the future of our Ummah.

If we want a stronger & more knowledgeable student body, we must work to improve the textbooks we expect our young people to learn from.

If we want good text books, we must commit TODAY to writing them.

If we want them written, we must commit to promoting the professions that write text books for children. (I don't think pharmacists, lawyers & doctors are much involved in that field). We need to support & promote the work of our Writers, including Islamic FICTION Writers such as Widad & other Muslim writers.

The real issue is the lack of commitment by the ADULTS in our UMMAH to build a better & stronger foundation for the future of our Ummah. Instead we depend on the tools (ie textbooks and resources) of the non-Muslims, whose goal is NOT to build a stronger Ummah!

So who is to blame? Perhaps it is the adults within the Ummah who have not promoted the career fields that can help our future youth.

It is something to consider when you talk to your children. Are you encouraging careers that are blessings in the Dunya or building blocks for a future in jennah for your child?

F A M I L Y

I ran into a stranger as he passed by,
"Oh excuse me please" was my reply.

He said, "Please excuse me too;
I wasn't watching for you."

We were very polite, this stranger and I.
We went on our way and we said goodbye..

But at home a different story is told,
How we treat our loved ones, young and old.

Later that day, cooking the evening meal,
My son stood beside me very still.

When I turned, I nearly knocked him down.
"Move out of the way," I said with a frown.

He walked away, his little heart broken.
I didn't realize how harshly I'd spoken.

While I lay awake in bed,
God's still small voice came to me and said,

"While dealing with a stranger,
common courtesy you use,
but the family you love, you seem to abuse.

Go and look on the kitchen floor,
You'll find some flowers there by the door.

Those are the flowers he brought for you.
He picked them himself: pink, yellow and blue.

He stood very quietly not to spoil the surprise,
you never saw the tears that filled his little eyes."

By this time, I felt very small,
And now my tears began to fall.

I quietly went and knelt by his bed;
"Wake up, little one, wake up," I said.

"Are these the flowers you picked for me?"
He smiled, "I found 'em, out by the tree.

I picked 'em because they're pretty like you.
I knew you'd like 'em, especially the blue."

I said, "Son, I'm very sorry for the way I acted today;
I shouldn't have yelled at you that way."
He said, "Oh, Mom, that's okay..
I love you anyway."

I said, "Son, I love you too,
and I do like the flowers, especially the blue."

FAMILY

Are you aware that if we died tomorrow, the company that we are working for could easily replace us in a matter of days.

But the family we left behind will feel the loss
for the rest of their lives.

And come to think of it, we pour ourselves more
into work than into our own family, an unwise investment indeed, don't you think?

1. You spend the first two years of their life
teaching them to walk and talk. Then you spend
the next sixteen telling them to sit down and shut up.

2. Grandchildren are God's reward
for not killing your own children.

3. Mothers of teens now know why some animals eat their young.

4. Children seldom misquote you.
In fact, they usually repeat word for word
what you shouldn't have said.

5. The main purpose of holding children's parties
is to remind yourself that there are children
more awful than your own.

6. We childproofed our homes, but they are still getting in.

ADVICE FOR THE DAY:

Be nice to your kids.
They will choose your
nursing home one day.

AND FINALLY:
IF YOU HAVE A LOT OF TENSION AND YOU GET A HEADACHE,
DO WHAT IT SAYS ON THE ASPIRIN BOTTLE:

"TAKE TWO ASPIRIN"
AND "KEEP AWAY FROM CHILDREN"!!!!!

Seriously.....

Children are a wonderful blessing from Allah. They can be a test of our patience, but alhumdulillah, they are a blessing also.

So let us praise Allah for these beautiful reminders we have been given that ALLAH is patient with us as well.
