As salaamu alaykum, Just speak the truth, Allah will do the rest. Many will try to make Islam seem crooked. Since we love Allah, Islam, etc., it hurts when people slander Muslims, the Qur'an, the deen. Just stay strong and know that Prophets, Messengers went through similar lies being spread about them.

IN ALL honestly it is possible for her to be brought up with hate. Looking at the circumstances where she grew up. It's pretty hard to find love for a group of people who is actively engaged in ethnic cleansing and commiting other human rights violation in plain site. The critical distinction Americans and non Muslim must makes is that one person's personal experience cannot and will not ever represent the entire experience of an entire group. AS MUSLIM we have to built up resilence against people deriding Islam and Muslim cultures. Resilience that is internal. The attacks of Islam and Muslim are nothing new. Our forefathers have survived it by will of Allah and we will, too, if we are sincere in our belief of Allah.
There was a segment of the show where a former "Muslim" said that they didn't believe in the Quran, because when people die, their soul lays dormant in the grave, and yet the funny thing is that it says the same thing in the Bible.

Can't determine if a person is Muslim by name alone. I'm Muslim alhamdulillaah and do not have a Muslim name.
Thats why media is such a powerful tool,and its always being used against muslims,notice how they make this discussion so flowery and how they demonize us,i fully agree,there is many good things that muslims do,but they dont want people to know about that,or to see it.They always manage to find the "rotten eggs" as u put it,only negative points,or they get Islamic analysts or experts on muslims,who arent muslim themselves and have no real knowledge of Islam.
