hookah

Salamwalaikum all,



I have been told smoking and hookah are haram. I know they are bad as is, but can it be proven that they are Haram?.. can you guys please provide me with proofs and evidences saying if it haram....or it is makruh or whatever.

I am back on here, I completely quit smoking shisha alhamdullilah since the last time i was on. This is by the grace of Allah, and I do believe it is haram, as you are greatly harming your body and also since it is something which becomes very addicting like cigarettes.

But Allaah knows best.

dude, I love hookah.
I've heard debates about if its haram or not, some say yes, some say no.
Addiction is haram though, so as long as your not smoking it all the time I wouldn't think there would be any problem. Not like I'm an expert or anything, because not only am I new to islam, but im totally biased when it comes to this issue lol..

smoking hookah/sheesha is not haram.smoking cigaretts  is definately haram and anthing that harms the body. but the thing with hookah is that its 3% tobacco. smokign is only haraam or forbidden becuase it is suicide slowly killing ur body over time. however most hookah/shisha does not contain enough to harm ur body. u should check the % like i think mine is like 0.5% or something? think about it, what makes things haraam? r those things in hookah? think

lol i hate smoking...but i do hookah...its a nice social thing to do lol...and i am able to do dawah while doing it lol. i would really like to know if its haram or not.
