Ramadhan and Muxlim Space and me

Ramadhan and Muxlim Space and me.

Bismillah Ar Rahman Ar Raheem

Assalaamu alaikum wa rahmathullah wa barakatuh

Alhamdulillah, Ramadhan is quite the BEST time of the year as far as I am concerned.  Since I was a kid I have tried to concentrate on the spiritual aspect of the wonderful month and so dropped out of most of my social ‘life’ so as to have more time for prayer and study.  This year I hope insha’Allah to do the same and so I will not be coming here as much as before, as this site is my ‘guilty pleasure !’

However there are one or two sisters who I talk to, write to etc., where I feel that for their sakes and my own, it would be wrong to shut out totally.  They help me in certain religious matters and insha’Allah I try to be of some assistance to them.  So I am not going to be totally absent here but I will try to focus my thought and deeds here on our deen rather than on social matters when I log on.

Here in Jordan we’ll be commencing tarawih prayers this evening (Sunday 31st August 2008) after the Isha prayer, so insha’Allah as to be ready for the first fast of Ramadhan on Monday 1st September.

So I will be around for most of today but, as I have said, after that I will be less frequently here and won’t be making new friends or posting generally until Eid.  Insha’Allah then I will be back in touch with all my wonderful sisters here again.

May Allah (subhana wa ta’ala) protect and guide you  and may you gain immeasurably from this holy month of Ramadhan. Ameen

"Every action of the son of Adam is given manifold reward, each good deed receiving then times its like, up to seven hundred times. Allah the Most High said, 'Except for fasting, for it is for Me and I will give recompense for it, he leaves off his desires and his food for Me.' for the fasting person there are two times of joy; a time when he breaks his fast and a time of joy when he meets his Lord, and the smell coming from the mouth of the fasting person is better with Allah than the smell of musk." Ramadhan Mubarak !

Walaikum salaam from your sister in Islam,  Aliyah
