Our Youth, worshiping idols

Last Jummah this amazing Sheik gave this eye-watering kutbah about our youth today. The youth worship idols such as the sun, and the stars. Ibrahim (a.s.) looked at both the sun and stars in the Quran and said that because they set/leave him then these idols are not Allah, the Most Great.

Today, the mulsim youth worship the sun and the stars in a different way. They wear these Suns (basketball) jerseys that cost so much they can feed several families. They worship stars...just look at American Idol (or actually don't--just understand my point).

In other words, Ibrahim (a.s) in his youth realized the foolishness of worshiping idols such as the sun and the stars yet our youth need a firm reminder that they should not commit shirk.

Isn't it crzay that the youth will miss fajr prayer (even at sleepovers in the masjid) but wake up in the wee-hours of the morning to stand in line for a new video game or the latest Jordans (shoes).

Subhanallah I don't mean to criticize...I mean to say WAKE UP and realize that our days our numbered and materialism is just another tool of the shatan to get hold of you and take you with him to the Hell Fire.
