Lowering the Gaze

I am working for a new company with the majority of women! It annoys me because it is haram and so hard to work with women and not make eyecontact-a custom in America. What are your experiences? How did you deal with it? How does your wife feel about it? What would Rosulalah (saw) say?

well i live in australia. i try to lower my gaze but its hard when i get excited seeing a sister or brother in my town because there is no muslims till ages away from where i live.
so i look up and smile and say salaam even to a brother cause i get excited
like today i went to the market and sooo many brothers and sisters i was in such joy and my dad would murder me if he'd known im muslim too for saying salaam to everyone i saw lol
