The latest news (1.7.08)

Alhamdulillah

After 8 days of violent protests, peace has finally returned to kashmir as Govt cancelled the controversial land transfer order. The strike has been called off and celebration r going on.

History

The Govt had earlier transferred 40 hectares of forest land to a hindu trust managing the annual pilgrimage to amarnath cave. Ppl of kashmir had opposed the move and considered it an attempt to change the demographics of the state which is btw the only muslim majority state in India.

The Cost

5 ppl were killed and more than 250 injured in violent clashes between the ppl and troops. Many bunkers were destroyed (which is good) and public property also suffered losses (which is bad)

The benefit

The pro freedom leaders who were divided in two groups took a step towards unity.

Thanks

First of all I wud like to thank Allah 4 listening to our prayers

I wud also like to thank those of u who prayed 4 us after reading my previous blogs and/or listening to news.
