"Mark, in man there is a lump of flesh, if it is kept wholesome the whole body remains in a healthy condition and if it is corrupted, the whole body is corrupted, mark, it is the heart!”(Bukhari)

In the name of Allaah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
I am a Moroccan (trying to be) Muslim. I am so grateful to Allaah (swt) to place me among the Umma of His beloved Mohammad (saas). I love the Umma; whatever concerns it concerns me. It saddens me that the dark night has occurred so long over our Umma. Hopefully, the dawn of a happy day is coming soon insha’Allaah to brighten our world with Truth, Justice and Light. The so-called “civilization” of materialism, hedonism and market gods is collapsing, and “Allaah will complete His light even though the disbelievers hate it”(61:8)
Our world needs to perceive Allah’s Light. Muslims are responsible for conveying God’s Message to humanity. We do that by giving the best model after we would have climbed the stairs of Islam, Iman and Ihsan through the process of Al Jihad Al Akbar( the greater struggle), that is, soul purification and self-mastery.
The companions of the Prophet (saas) were significantly the outstanding generation of Islam, first because they were graced with the Baraka of Prophet’s companionship (saas), and because they were “given IMAN before Qur’an”, as Abdullah Ibn Umar (ra) mentioned.
Dar Al Arqam Ibn Abi Al Arqam was the first school ( Zawya, Dar AlQur’an or Hawza) where this enlightened generation acquired IMAN and the eye of their heart was open to see Ayat or signs of the Divine in both the read book( Qur’an) and the seen book( Universe or existence). In effect, they were true reflections of Prophetic virtues such as Generosity, Modesty, Chastity, Trusworthiness, Mercifulness, Wisdom, Knowledge, Straightforwardness, Piety… each according to his readiness. We need to travel to their era ( not to have a permanent abode there as some do but) to come back to our different time with the same eternal virtues and spirits.

Brotherhood

All muslims areuc brothers regarless of their Fiqhi school or Madhab. They are all flowers in the garden of LA ILAHA ILLA ALLAAH MOHAMMADUN RASULU ALLAAH. Differences in understanding and deduction have been occurring since the beginning of the Da’wa. Yet, all our good ancestors(salaf salih) remain lovingly united, stating that “my opinion is right but still could be wrong, and your opinion is wrong but still could be right”
( Imam Ashshafi’i(ra)). Conflicts rise up and muslims seem to be less accepting of each other only when virtues fall down very low.
The Umma is tired of self-righteous and self-appointed judges who use Islam against others, rather than live it with them, classifying and separating people into sects and groups.
If we have minds that look, with deep insight and beautiful soul, to the high purposes and ends of Islam, conflicts over trivial concepts will dissolve. We need not to lose time and efforts over trivial conflicts. The body of the Umma must stand strong. The Islamic brotherhood is FARIDA. If you don’t love your muslim brother you can learn if you have a heart. There are hundreds of reason in a muslim to be loved. Let’s just focus on things that bring us together, which are many. Let’s strive to live our Islam( True Surrender of the body, soul, mind, heart and soul to Allaah alone), and from that all else follows.
Islam is a beautiful religion; it’s the DIVINE WAY to bring peace and goodness to people’s lives. Yet, it can be reduced to an earthly ideology of dominance and a sort of holier-than-thou judgementalism when we enforce IT to come down to us instead of WE go HIGH to IT. The wise Qur’an and the noble Prophet (saas) are Divine Lights. Are our hearts pure enough to perceive these Lights and be mirror of their Truths?
The answer to this question is the key to salvation, now and “The Day whereon neither wealth nor sons will avail, except him who brings to Allaah a clean heart ”(26:88,89).

O Allaah! Show us truth as true and enable us to follow it. Show us falsehood as false and enable us to refrain from it. Ameen.

Wisdom from the holy Qur’an

Behold, Luqmn said to his son admonishing him: "O my son! join not in worship (others) with Allah: for false worship is indeed the highest wrong-doing."- And We have enjoined on man (to be good) to his parents: in travail upon travail did his mother bear him, and in years twain was his weaning: (hear the command), "Show gratitude to Me and to thy parents: to Me is (thy final) Goal.- "But if they strive to make thee join in worship with Me things of which thou hast no knowledge, obey them not; yet bear them company in this life with justice (and consideration), and follow the way of those who turn to Me: in the end the return of you all is to Me, and I will tell you all that ye did."- "O my son!" (said Luqmn), "If there be (but) the weight of a mustard-seed and it were (hidden) in a rock, or (anywhere) in the heavens or on earth, Allah will bring it forth: for Allah is Subtle and Aware.- "O my son!" (said Luqmn), "If there be (but) the weight of a mustard-seed and it were (hidden) in a rock, or (anywhere) in the heavens or on earth, Allah will bring it forth: for Allah is Subtle and Aware.- "O my son! establish regular prayer, enjoin what is just, and forbid what is wrong: and bear with patient constancy whatever betide thee; for this is firmness (of purpose) in (the conduct of) affairs.- "And swell not thy cheek (for pride) at men, nor walk in insolence through the earth; for Allah loveth not any arrogant boaster.- "And be moderate in thy pace, and lower thy voice; for the harshest of sounds without doubt is the braying of the ass." (31:13-19)

The Message
Imam Al Ghazzali, Taha Abderrahmane, Yusuf Qaradawi..and many others

The soul weeps in desire of the world despite the fact that
It knows that salvation lies in renouncing it and what is in it.
A man will have no abode to dwell in after his death
Except that which he builds before he dies.
Our goods-we hoard them to bequeath to heirs;
Our houses-we build them to be ruined by time.
There are many towns built and then ruined;
Their builders-death has come upon them.
Every soul-even if it somehow fears death,
It cherishes ambitions to strengthen its desire to live.
Man exhibits his ambitions but time obliterates them;
Man’s soul multiplies them but death puts an end to them.
Imam Ali(ra)

Certainly you have in the Messenger of Allaah an excellent exemplar for him who hopes in Allaah and the latter day and remembers Allaah much (33:21)

The BELOVED

His wisdom flowed from heaven's book
Just like threaded pearls,
Just like threaded pearls

He left his self to flee to God
And God sent him back to us

He was born to be the beloved
A will of the Divine
He was born to be the beloved,
He was born to guide

He prayed all his nights alone
And stars and angels sighed
And in the day he lead the way
With blazing words so bright

He was born to be the beloved
A will of the Divine
He was born to be the beloved,
He was born to be kind

He taught the people to worship
Bowing to one God,
Bowing to one God

His mercy stretched from East to West
To every man, woman and child

He was born to be the beloved-
A will of the Divine
He was born to be the beloved,
Nature Sublime

He opened up the doors of love
For every heart parched with thirst
He was a mercy to the words
And unto the human births

He was born to be the beloved
A will of the Divine
He was born to be the beloved,
He was born to guide
Brother Yusuf Islam

Praising the holy Prophet
(peace and blessings be upon him)

Muhammad, leader of the two worlds and of Man and the jinn,
Leader also of the Arabs and non Arabs and their kin.
Our Prophet, Commander of right, prohibits evil’s way,
Yet no one’s speech more gentle could be than his nay or yea.
Beloved by Allah is he upon whose pleading we depend
From terrors of the Day of Judgement, which on us descend.
He summoned people unto Allah, they to him did adhere,
And clung fast to the rope that none could ever rent or tear.
In morals and features he, all prophets did exceed,
None could approach his knowledge, or his bounty e’er precede.
And thus from Allah’s Apostle they acquired and did gain,
A handful of the vast sea or a sip of gen’rous rain.
So other prophets in their rightful place before him stand,
Regarding knowledge and the wisdom that they understand.
He perfect is in traits concealed, and features bright and clear,
And Man’s Creator chose him as His most beloved and clear.
Too far above all men is he to have a partner who
Has equal qualities, because the essence of virtue
That in him lies is indivisible and wholly true.

Sufyaan Ath-Thawree, raHimahullaah, said: "The excellence of knowledge is due only to the fact that it causes a person to fear and obey Allaah, otherwise it is just like anything else." [Related by ibn Rajab]

Al-Hasan al-Basree, raHimahullaah, said: "Whoever learns something in the name of Allaah, seeking that which is with Him, he will win. And whoever learns something for other than Allaah, he will not reach the goal, nor will his acquired knowledge bring him closer to Allaah." [Related by Ibn ul Jawzee]

Ibn Mas`ood, raDiallaahu `anhu, said: "True knowledge is not measured in relationship to how much you memorize and then narrate, but rather, true knowledge is an expression of piety [protecting oneself from what Allaah prohibited and acting upon what He mandated]."Also, "Study and act upon what you learn." [Related by Abu Na`eem]
