Yes, even here keffiyeh have become fashion items although when I was a kid people still associated them with Palestinian freedom fighters. Mainly thanks to Arafat always wearing one. Interesting that the fashion has gone across the Atlantic. Maybe hijaab and niqaab will become fashionable too !

Teeheehee.... I started that trend in my town (Yes, Hawaii is VERY late with trends). I wore it to school because it matched my outfit and people thought it was cool. First I let my sister borrow it, then my friend and now you see lots of them.
