islam is applicable.

unfortunately in today's world islam is advertised more like a theory in our lives. even among we muslims we mostly hear the words 'i am a muslim, but not practising any.' we build up a life with our self-willings, ambitions and desires. for most of us islam is not the priority, and we can easily neglect parts of islam if they are against what we wish. so we are not trying to correct ourselves according to islam, but trying to correct the islam according to our wishes.
i think this is being used by non-muslems also. and they are trying to advertise our religion like this. they want islam to be in theory only but not in practice. today if a priest come to you and tells you 'islam is not applicable' what can you say? can you show an example of living islam anywherre on earth? perhaps there are places islam is partially applied, or some individuals trying to apply islam as a whole to their lives. but the ratio is very little i suppose.
'the mirror of a man is his work, not his word' says a turkish prevorb. we should more than only saying 'we are muslim' i suppose. first individually. we should grasp to our religion and try to apply every tiniest part of it into our lives even it is against our own willings, ambitions or desires.. and each of us to be an example of applicable islam. insallah.
