I went back home to New York for vaction and we had a great time. We were there for a week. The weather was great in New York but it's been doing a lot of raining in North Carolina. It's fine with me because it's been watering the lawn and helping it grow because I seeded it before we left to NY and so all the rain is well needed :o)
So, what have you been up to this summer? Anything?

Salaam....How are you doing? I'm doing good. Enjoying the weather. I've been planting flowers and started some vegetables too. So far so good....only thing is that I got bit twice by ants. Once in the palm of my hand and another by my ankle area and it's swelled up. I'm allergic to them. I found out about being allergic to them last year when I got bit for the first time by an ant. Amazing huh?!

Narrated Jabir bin 'Abdullah (Radi Allah Anhu): The Allah's Apostle (sal-allahu-alleihi- wasallam ) used to teach us the way of doing Istikhara (Istikhara means to ask Allah to guide one to the right sort of action concerning any job or a deed), in all matters as he taught us the Suras of the Quran. He said, "If anyone of you thinks of doing any job he should offer a two Rakat prayer other than the compulsory ones and say (after the prayer):
'Allahumma inni astakhiruka bi'ilmika, Wa astaqdiruka bi-qudratika, Wa as'alaka min fadlika al-'azlm Fa-innaka taqdiru Wala aqdiru, Wa ta'lamu Wala a'lamu, Wa anta 'allamu l-ghuyub. Allahumma, in kunta ta'lam anna hadha-l-amra Khairun li fi dini wa ma'ashi wa'aqibati amri (or 'ajili amri wa'ajilihi) Faqdirhu wa yas-sirhu li thumma barik li Fihi, Wa in kunta ta'lamu anna hadha-lamra shar-run li fi dini wa ma'ashi wa'aqibati amri (or fi'ajili amri wa ajilihi) Fasrifhu anni was-rifni anhu. Waqdir li al-khaira haithu kana Thumma ardini bihi.'
