TAQWA

O ALLAH! I SEEK YOUR REFUGE FROM KNOWLEDGE WHICH DOES NOT BENEFIT;
FROM THE HEART THAT DOES NOT FEAR; FROM THE SOUL WHICH IS NEVER SATISFIED;
AND FROM A SUPPLICATION WHICH IS NOT HEARD.
"REMINDER BENEFITS THE BELIVER"

Role as Mother

Apart from her role as a wife, the Muslim woman has a very important role as mother. The status and value attached to parents in the Muslim world is very high. The Qur'an says:

"Your Lord has decreed that you should worship nothing except Him, and (show) kindness to your parents, whether one or both of them attain old age (while they are) still with you, never say to them a word of contempt nor scold them. Address them in a generous fashion. And out of kindness, stay before them with humility and say: 'My Lord, show them mercy, just as they cared for me in my childhood' " (17:23-24).

Again Allah says:

"We have enjoined man to respect his parents; his mother bears him with fainting after fainting, while his weaning takes two years. Thank Me as well as your parents; towards Me lies the goal" (The Qur'an 31:14)

It is reported that a man came to the Prophet and asked:

"Messenger of Allah, who is the most deserving of good care from me?" The Prophet replied: "Your mother (which he repeated three times) then your father, then your nearest relatives in order".

In another hadith the Prophet has said: "Paradise lies at the feet of mothers". In other words Paradise awaits those who cherish and respect their mothers.

A Muslim must believe in Divine Decree or destiny أ¢â‚¬â€‌ qadar in Arabic. The concept of qadar used in the Qurأ¢â‚¬â„¢an means a measure or the latent possibilities with which Allah (God) created human beings and all things of nature. When Allah created each thing, He determined when it would come into existence and when it would cease to exist. He also determined its qualities and nature. And everything in the universe, the seen and the unseen, is completely subject to the overriding power of Allah. Nothing can happen outside His Will.

As for human beings, they are not completely masters of their fates, nor are they puppets subject to the hazards of destiny. Allah gave humans limited power and great freedom, including the freedom of choice. That autonomy makes each individual accountable for his or her deeds.

We cannot know our future and, to a large extent, we cannot control it. But we can make decisions within the limits of what we can control, based on our understanding of the way the world works. If someone chooses to punch his fist into a brick wall, he cannot claim any injustice when it hurts. He knows that the wall exists and that it is hard. That is the reality أ¢â‚¬â€‌ the أ¢â‚¬إ“laws of natureأ¢â‚¬? أ¢â‚¬â€‌ he has to deal with. Yet the ultimate reality is that Allah could make the wall disappear just before oneأ¢â‚¬â„¢s fist reaches it.

Just as Allah created nature and its laws, He made moral laws, and we cannot claim any injustice if we get punished for disobeying or ignoring those moral laws.

assalam alaaikum my dear sister :)

Jumuuah Mubarak,

"On no soul doth Allaah Place a burden greater than it can bear. It gets every good that it earns And it suffers every ill that it earns. (Pray:) "Our Lord! Condemn us not If we forget or fall Into error; our Lord! Lay not on us a burden Like that which Thou Didst lay on those before us; Our Lord! lay not on us A burden greater than we Have strength to bear. Blot out our sins. And grant us forgiveness. Have mercy on us. Thou art our Protector; Grant us victory Over the unbelievers." (Baqarah, 286).

Ey Rabbimiz! Bize, bizden öncekilere yüklediğin gibi ağır yük yükleme. Ey Rabbimiz! Bize gücümüzün yetmediği şeyleri yükleme! Bizi affet, bizi bağışla, bize acı! Sen bizim Mevlâmızsın. Kâfirler topluluğuna karşı bize yardım et.” (Bakara suresi 286. ayet
