Well....I'm a very outgoing person. I love to meet people and make friends. I'm easy going and have a great sense of humor....I guess you can say that I'm a people person lol. I'm about 5' 7" and weigh around 120 lbs. I have light brown eyes and hair. I was born and raised in New York.

I'm related to Ponce de Leon through marriage. Juan Ponce de Leon is his full name. Carmen Ponce de Leon had a daughter named Dolores Rodriguez de Astudillo y Ponce de Leon (commonly known as Lola Rodriguez de Tio). Dolores (Lola) was married to Bonocio Tio in which they had a daughter whom they named Amina. Amina married Pedro Malaret y Yordan. They had 8 children. (Pedro, Albert, Angela, Enrique, Mirella, Luz, Ada and German) Their son, Pedro Salvador Malaret y Tio became a doctor (a surgeon). He also founded a library that's in the Universidad de Puerto Rico, RCM, Biblioteca Conrado F. Asenjo. Pedro Malaret y Yordan's brother was Manuel Malaret y Yordan. Manuel was my great-grandfather and Pedro was my great-granduncle. Manuel had a son named Augusto Malaret Rosario y Yordan. Augusto is my grandfather. Pedro Malaret y Anglada is my great-great grandfather. He is the father of Pedro Malaret y Yordan who married Amina Ponce de Leon. Pedro Malaret y Anglada was mayor of Sabana Grande, Puerto Rico in 1866-1867 & again in 1872-1873. Amina's husband Pedro Malaret y Yordan (my great- granduncle) was mayor of Santa Isabel, Puerto Rico in 1883-1896.
Juan Ponce de Leon has 2 schools in Florida, Puerto Rico...one in Rio Piedras, Puerto Rico and one in Humacao, Puerto Rico. Dolores R. y Ponce de Leon has a school in Carolina & San German, Puerto Rico. Amina Tió de Malaret has a school in San German, Puerto Rico and Carmen Ponce de Leon has a school as well.

This is all through my mothers side of the family.

There have been family members that have left a legacy. Marisol Malaret to name one, was the first Puerto Rican to be crowned Miss Universe at the age of 19. She was also Miss Puerto Rico. This was back in 1970. After her reign as Miss Universe was over, Malaret became and still remains a popular public figure in Puerto Rico. Marisol has been a powerful force in the fashion and beauty industry in Puerto Rico. She has owned several successful boutiques, introduced the Barbizon modeling franchise to the Island and becoming a TV show host and magazine editor. Currently, Marisol is the host of an educational TV program for the local government’s Ethics Office. In addition, she works as a motivational speaker and is an official spokespersons for Advil. But ask any Puerto Rican about Marisol Malaret and you’ll find that her legacy defies time and generations.
Among her TV jobs as a show host, she worked on the Noche de Gala show, one of the island's highest rated tv shows during the middle 1980's, and as a magazine editor. She founded the island's first and most important women's magazines, "Imagen" in 1987 and "Caras" in 1992, which she headed until 2002.

My great-grandaunt Blanca Malaret y Yordan has a school in Puerto Rico in Sabana Grande which still exists today. My great-granduncle Augusto Nicolas Malaret y Yordan wrote several books, magazines and I have a copy of two of those books he's written....one called "Diccionario De Americanismos" and "Lexion De Fauna y Flora". I'm very proud of my family line and their achievments and how it continues today. In my family, names get passed down from generation to generation.

I have 4 brothers and 1 sister.

I tutor Spanish as well as teaching Spanish at a school. I enjoy teaching others my language and seeing the joy on their face that they are learning another language other than English.

I like honest, down to earth people. People with moral values who care about themselves and others. Compassion for yourself and others. Those who love Allah. People with respect. Dependable people. People with a sense of humor.

I love people who put Allah first and family a very, very, very, close second. Family outside of Allah should be a priority....no if's, and's or but's.

Icecream....Oreos cookies 'n cream is my all time favorite....then comes icecream you can have made for you at Cold Stone Creamery. I love getting the banana icecream and have Kit Kats, Heath, Jimmies and Snickers mixed in. Can we say Yummmmmmm!!!

Kit Kats, swedish fish, anything with carmel in it....Baby Ruth, Reeses Peanut Butter Cups and dark chocolate....to name a few :o)

I love pillow fights....anything fun.

I love to cook....and then eat what I just cooked hahaha. I prefer to cook rather than eat out.
Dishonest, sneaky people. People who selfishly think about themselves. Liars. People who aren't true to themselves as well as others. Liars, cheaters with no moral compass. Liars. People with no sense of humor or compassion. Liars. People who are unreliable. Those who don't love Allah. People who speak before they think. Liars. People who use the bathroom and don't wash their hands....talk about nasty. Liars. Back stabbers. Liars. Anyone who would harm innocent children and people. Liars. People who have delusions of grandeur. Ohhh....did I mention Liars? lol

You scored as Islam. Your beliefs are most similar to those of Islam. Do more research on Islam and possibly consider taking the shahadah and officially becoming a Muslim, if you aren't already.

Despite the actions of some - who go against the teachings of Islam - Islam is a religion of peace; the word "islam" means "peace through submission to God." "Muslim" means "one who submits to God." Islam is the third of the three Abrahamic faiths, and it shares much with Judaism in Christianity; its differences are the acceptance of Muhammad as the last and final prophet, and the oneness of God - in other words, that Jesus, though he was a revered prophet, was not in fact God, and only one God exists. Apparently the Taliban could not read (though their name means "students"), because the Qur'an states that men and women are equal as believers, and that all believers should be educated and seek knowledge. Modesty in dress and behavior is required in Islam for both men and women to preserve the values of society and move the emphasis from superificial appearance to intelligence, knowledge, and God.

I love to read. I will not write what books I've read, otherwise, it would be a novel within itself.

I don't watch too much television. If I do, it's to catch the weather and news....so The Weather Channel, Fox News Channel, I will watch televsion when Football is on and when Baseball is on. Loves the New York Yankees for baseball. Football, I like one too many teams
lol....Chargers, Panthers, Greenbay and Dallas.

I love to roller blade, swim, paint, sew, knit, crotchet, make quilts, cook, garden, make crafts, going on nature walks.

I'm very dependable and realiable. I will do most anything for anyone within my power that Allah provides me with.

roses_in_the_snow (13 Nov 2007, 1:31 am):
I walked so fast I did not see the trees, the sky, the stones.
Something inside began to warm a place within my heart.
A voice began to speak to me- and it began to start.
Although the footsteps I could hear were certainly my own;
I know there was another set upon the open road.
It was as if another one was walking by my side-
whispering words into my ear which made me softly cry.
"Slow down and look around you! There's so much here to see.
Did you notice that small nest above in My glorious pine tree? Did you
see the sky, the vibrant sun and feel My breeze upon your face? Have
you heard the singing stream or seen the eagle fly with grace? Did younotice all the colors I have painted on the land? Have you looked at all the mountain tops which stand proud and grand? And what of that smallchild, who plays with such delight? Or, the sounds of that child's laughter
in a world so full of fright? Have you seen the meadow gently sway
when My wind blows through the air? Did you see the violets in the field -
or not notice they were there?"

My steps began to slow until I stood so very still.
It felt like God had spoken- was this part of His will?
Or, was it my imagination running wild like the night?
It felt so real, so warm and true - I knew I couldn't fight-
His message to look and really 'see' the wonders all around.
I realized my feet were walking upon more than simply 'ground'.A tear made a path down my face and I smiled at the sky.I knew my tears were ones of joy and my heart began to fly.
With every step I saw something as if for the very first time. The babbling brook; the soft green grass; the beautiful sunshine.I found myself wandering as my steps began to slow.
I bent over and finally took the time-to smell God's glorious rose.
