Two Men:
One who recites Quran and other who gives Charity

(Sahih Bukhari : Volume 6, Book 61, Number 541)

Narrated Abu Huraira (Radi Allah Anhu) : Allah's Apostle (sal-allahu-alleihi- wasallam) said,
"Allah does not listen to a prophet as He listens to a Prophet (sal-allahu-alleihi- wasallam) who recites the Qur'an in a pleasant tone." The companion of the sub-narrator (Abu Salama) said, "It means, reciting it aloud."

( Sahih Bukhari : Volume 6, Book 61, Number 543)

Narrated 'Abdullah bin 'Umar (Radi Allah Anhu) : Allah's Apostle (sal-allahu-alleihi- wasallam) said,
"Not to wish to be the like except of two men. A man whom Allah has given the knowledge of the Book and he recites it during the hours of the night, and a man whom Allah has given wealth, and he spends it in charity during the night and the hours of the day."

( Sahih Bukhari : Volume 6, Book 61, Number 544)

Narrated Abu Huraira (Radi Allah Anhu): Allah's Apostle (sal-allahu-alleihi- wasallam) said,
"Not to wish to be the like of except two men: A man whom Allah has taught the Qur'an and he recites it during the hours of the night and during the hours of the day, and his neighbor listens to him and says, 'I wish I had been given what has been given to so-and-so, so that I might do what he does; and a man whom Allah has given wealth and he spends it on what is just and right, whereupon an other man May say, 'I wish I had been given what so-and-so has been given, for then I would do what he does."

( Sahih Bukhari : Volume 6, Book 61, Number 545)

Narrated 'Uthman (Radi Allah Anhu): The Prophet (sal-allahu-alleihi- wasallam) said,
"The best among you (Muslims) are those who learn the Qur'an and teach it."

[2. Surah Al-Baqarah : Ayah 216]

"And it may be that you dislike a thing while it is good for you, and it may be that you love a thing while it is evil for you, and Allah knows, while you do not know."

Know that: World's life is only Sport and Play

[57. Surah Al-Hadid : Ayah 20]

Know that this world's life is only sport and play and gaiety and boasting among yourselves, and a vying in the multiplication of wealth and children, like the rain, whose causing the vegetation to grow, pleases the husbandmen, then it withers away so that you will see it become yellow, then it becomes dried up and broken down; and in the hereafter is a severe chastisement and (also) forgiveness from Allah and (His) pleasure; and this world's life is naught but means of deception.

[6. Surah Al-An'am : Ayah 32]

And this world's life is naught but a play and an idle sport and certainly the abode of the hereafter is better for those who guard (against evil); do you not then understand?

[29. Surah Al-'Ankabut : Ayah 64]

And this life of the world is nothing but a sport and a play; and as for the next abode, that most surely is the life-- did they but know.

[47. Surah Muhammad : Ayah 36]

The life of this world is only idle sport and play, and if you believe and guard (against evil) He will give you your rewards, and will not ask of you your possessions.

[35. Surah Fatir : Ayah 5]

O men! surely the promise of Allah is true, therefore let not the life of this world deceive you, and let not the arch-deceiver deceive you respecting Allah.

[87. Surah Al-A'la : Ayah 16-17]

Nay! you prefer the life of this world, While the hereafter is better and more lasting.

Definition of Virtue and Sin

[Sahih Muslim : Book 32 Kitab Al-Adab, Number 6195]

Nawwas b. Sim'an al-Ansiri (Radi Allah Anhu) reported: I asked Allah's Messenger (sal-allahu- alleihi-wasallam ) about virtue and vice. He (sal-allahu- alleihi-wasallam ) said: Virtue is a kind disposition and vice is what rankles in your heart and that you disapprove that people should come to know of it.

[Sahih Muslim : Book 32 Kitab Al-Adab, Number 6196]

Nawwis b. Sim'in (Radi Allah Anhu) reported: I stayed with Allah's Messenger (sal-allahu- alleihi-wasallam ) for one year. What obstructed me to migrate was (nothing) but (persistent) inquiries from him (about Islam). (It was a common observation) that when anyone of us migrated (to Medina) he ceased to ask (too many questions) from Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him). So I asked him about virtue and vice. Thereupon Allah's Messenger (sal-allahu- alleihi-wasallam ) said: Virtue is a kind disposition and vice is what rankles in your mind and that you disapprove of its being known to the people
