Salaam, I am an Muslimah living in eastern South Dakota. I am a member of Islamic Community of South Dakota which is based in Sioux Falls, which is where I live. I am a nanny(not a goat lol). I take care of a little boy thats the smartest five year old ever, with the best parents. Subanullulah. And best boss that anyone could ever have, alhumdulillah. They treat me as if I am part of their family, Alhumdulilah. I am recently, remarried, alhumdulillah, to a wonderful man from Baltimore. So for those who think us older women can't find husbands, Huh! Yes we can! Praise be to Allah. It doesn't require that we feel we have to feel like used goods either, like some men try to make us feel; by saying "you have to accept that you ain't gunna find a husband, unless you accept that plural marriage." As if plural marriage is the ONLY option for us! As if we somehow aren't quality enough to be married in monogamous relationship! The prophet, peace & blessings be upon him, LIVED in Monogamy for many many years, so Brothers quit treating us Sisters like we are goods to be collected in some stable (and yes, I even heard that term used by some brothers). I have four grown children that are

my (smile) I have helped raise two of my grandchildren, alhumdulillah. My two daughters embraced Islam, alhumdulillah, and my two grandchildren also, Alhumdulillah. I am originally from S.A. Texas, but I find South Dakota to be a good place to relocate to, if you are wanting to get away from the dunya that drags down so many within our African-American community. All praise due to Allah I am married Allhumdulilah(smile) This brother was sent from Allah, all praise due to Allah for our meeting and the Islamic knowledge that he is teaching me Masha-Allah.
