I asked Allah's Apostle (peace be upon him) about virtue and vice. He said: Virtue is a kind disposition and vice is what rankles in your heart and that you disapprove that people should come to know of it. (Sahih Muslim Hadith 1162 Narrator Nawwas ibn Sim'an al-Ansari)
Allah's Messenger (peace be upon him) said, "A man will continue to exalt himself till he is recorded among the imperious ones and is smitten as they are." (Al-Tirmidhi Hadith 1320 Narrator Salamah ibn al-Akwa') (smitten-obsessed)
Say "Allah suffices me: There is no god but He; on Him is my trust, He is the Rab of the Throne of Glory Supreme!"
