all im saying is if obama bombed iran and millions were killed, would you not, though minutely, take part in this, since without yours and many other's votes, he wouldnt be president? would u feel happy had u voted for bush in 2000, now in 2008 seeing all the carnage he's laid in his wake? if i could be confident obama would be a president of peace and diplomacy, i would vote for him, but when he says going to war with iran is 'not off the table' and his unconditional support of israel, how can i vote for this person?

also im new to islam perhaps you can answer this question: did the prophet pbuh or the sahaba partake in the politics of the mushriks? and i would think believing Allah Almighty to be a human being, as the Christians believe, would certainly qualify as a mushrik...at least the polytheists in Mecca knew of Allah but worshipped stones for intercession; these people blatantly distort and demeans the Lord of all the World by saying he's a mere man, and I should give him my pledge of allegiance?

yes Ali, but remember this, even though Obama may seem like the better candidate, you still have to face Allah on the Day of Judgement. I heard many musllims actually voted for Bush in 2001 because Gore had a jew as a vice president....now it is on their record that they voted in a meglomaniac who is responsible to millions of muslim deaths. I dont know how that will play out, but I don't want to run that risk. Imagine if Obama nuked Iran, think how many innocent, perhaps pious Muslims would die, and then I would be partly responsible, though may Allah forgive us all for our ignorance, for voting this man in. for me its not worth the risk. I feel everything in life one should ask 'will this be good or bad for my akirah' and to me my answer is 'not worth it.'
