General Info
I am an ethnical norwegian woman who live in Denmark and I reverted
from lutheran chistian to Islam some 5 years ago. It took me a lot
of reading (on the internet!!), curriage and considerations to take
this step, and finally I took my Shahada in a London Masjid (Green Lane) without
any of my friends knowing it, Masha'Allah!!

Then I went on reading and discussing in Yahoo-groups etc. about
veiling before I started to cover, and Allah - the most merciful -
gave me strength and I have now been covering for about 4 years!! It
feels so liberating to avoid all the stares and unwanted attention -
and I am so happy that I finally took this step!! And it is more
comfortable and relaxing when others (especially men) cannot see the
contours of my body nor my hair or face.

I came in contact with this very nice and helpful sister in UK - Umm
Kareema - and she made my first full hijab set - somali style with
jilbab, knee length khimar and niqaab, so this became my favourite
style. Although here in Denmark there is no really dominating style.
I also use iranian chador (closed in front) often. The most
important thing is that it covers completely and provide modesty.

I also decided to take a muslim name, in fact two names!! I call
myself Nieema Imtithal, the meaning of these names together
describes me very well. (Nieema or Ni'mah - Blessing, loan
Imtithal - polite obedience).

I try to inform all my sister muslimahs who use hijab, that
niqab is mustahabb (strongly recommended), and that Allah
will reward all niqabi women!! We should all strive to show
submissiveness to Allah by proper covering (niqab and
fullkhimar/jilab/chador etc),
