repost:Muslim men, Why?
My Muslim brothers, as salaamu alaykum.
Bismillahir-Rahmaanir-Raheem
I know we have bigger issues such as encouraging those who are not making their salaah atleast 5 times per day.
I know that some brothers grow their beards for show, or they think that they are closer to Allah because their beards are long while others shave. (Only Allah knows who these brothers are). This is not good either.
However, Muslim men need to obey Allah and his Messenger and stop shaving their beards off. We can't ignore this issue by saying "We need to talk about other things."
Every time a Muslim man looks into the mirror with a razor or shaver and commits this sin, and then comes out into the public displaying his willingness to dis-obey the Messenger of Allah, ... this is very sad. For those Muslim men who will repond to this blog with an excuse, know that Allah hears your excuses. And only Allah will decide if your excuses are good, or just a weak justification to dis-obey.
For those who say it's not obligatory, Allah hears you, and Allah will tell us all the truth in the end.
Brothers, our sisters are out in public wearing hijab because they fear Allah, let's not be the weak links and shave before we go out in public.
For those who will continue to keep shaving off their beards after reading the following hadiths and ayaats from Qur'an, Then all I can say is 'enjoy yourself.' We will all stand before Allah alone. I only intend to remind brothers as others remind me about Muslim issues. As salaamu alaykum.
Final question, can anyone sincerely say "Bismillahir-Rahmaanir-Raheem" before he starts shaving off his beard? and feel no shame in front of Allah?
(1) Muhammad (Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam) says: "Trim closely the moustache, and let the beard flow (Grow)."
- Narrated Ibn Umar (R.A.) in Muslim, Hadith no. 498
(2) Muhammad (Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam) ordered us to trim the moustache closely and spare the beard" says Ibn Umar.
- Muslim, Hadith no. 449
(3) Muhammad (Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam)said: "Act against contrary to the polythesists, trim closely the moustache and grow the beard."
- Reported by Ibn Umar (R.A.) in Muslim, Hadith no. 500
O ye who believe! Obey Allah, and obey the Messenger, and those charged with authority among you." (Quran 4:59)
"O ye who believe! Obey Allah and His Messenger, and turn not away from him when ye hear (him speak)." (Quran 8:20)
"O ye who believe! give your response to Allah and His Messenger, when He calleth you to that which will give you life; and know that Allah cometh in between a man and his heart, and that it is He to Whom ye shall (all) be gathered."(Quran 8:24)
"Ye have indeed in the Messenger of Allah an excellent exempler for him who hopes in Allah and the Final Day, and who remembers Allah." (Quran 33:21)

Wa alaikum salaam,
Allahu akbar! Jazak Allahu khairan for the reminder brother.
The ruler of Yemen, appointed by the Persian emperor Kisraa, sent two envoys to the Messenger (sallahu alayhi wa salaam) to summon him. When they came into his presence, he noticed that they had shaved their beards and grew their moustaches. He hated to look at them (because of their odd appearance) and he said: Woe be to you, who told you to do so? They replied: "Our lord! (referring to Kisraa.)" The Messenger (sallahu alayhi wa salaam) then said:
But my Lord, may He be exalted and glorified, has commanded me to leave alone my beard and to trim my moustache. [Recorded by Ibn Jar r a-abar , and judged to be Hasan (good) by al-Albani.]
Will the Messener of Allah, sallahu alayhi wa salaam, hate to look at you if he saw you?
The beard is a major distinction between men and women. Shaving it removes this distinction, and is thus a means of imitating women(Which is listed as a major sin). The Messenger (sallahu alayhi wa salaam) said:
Allah curses those men who imitate the women, and He curses those women who imitate the men. [Al-Bukhari]
Shaving the Beard Contradicts the Pure Fitrah (Nature). Allah's Messenger, sallahu alayhi wa salaam, mentioned ten qualities as indicative of a good, clean nature [Muslim]. Two of these qualities are to trim the moustaches and to grow the beard. Allah's creation is perfect and needs no alteration.
The sister of this Ummah should also encourage their husbands or even demand it as part of their contract when gettting married, lol.
Jazakalah Kair for your steadfastness on the Sunnah

Salaams

There are many Muslim brothers with beards, and many do not do salat, do not do what is needed for them to do. In my community - it is not they who live and surpass within the deen but brothers with no beards. And when they get stronger, their beard comes anyway because they have corrected the most serious of all.
What is that? The salat, the dawah, and all the basic pillars of Islam. Do not judge people of deen with their beard. But by their consistency and actions.
But anyway wife demands anything from her husband when her right is for the husband to provide for her is out of her head. It will cause trouble. Please advise in a manner that is of balance and within Islam.
