Welcome to my profile. First I need to get something out of the way

Obviously I do not wear hijab. I am sorry I cannot look more muslim. Please do not criticize me or pressure me because of my choice. You know nothing of my experiences or background. I will wear it when I am ready.

Now that the hard stuff is out of the way... I should just say that I am a very down to earth and laid-back person. A good listener, openminded, non-judgemental. With a wacky sense of humor. I have learned over the years to just be myself and not try to hide who I am. I dont pretend to be anything I am not.

I go to school and am due to graduate with a double major next year, inshaallah. After that I wish to get married and work on making a better life for myself and my family. I have a son who doesnt live with me now and someday Id like to be able to care for him and fully support him. He means everything to me.

Alhamdulillah I came to Islam 4 years ago after learning about it from my ex husband. Since then life, and also my iman has been like a rollercoaster. But no matter how bad things get, I cannot seem to lose faith in my creator or his message. Islam is forever in my heart. I have seen the truth, and I cannot turn back even if I try.
