Well, I am a Muslim, alhamdulillah. I enjoy the outdoors, hunting fishing shooting, the usual redneck stuff.
I am really into my religion, in every aspect. I have a wonderful wife and 2 beautiful kids.
I like people who follow the faith. Brothers who care enough to wear a beard, Sisters who believe enough to wear Hijab.
Its not a game, our afterlife is at stake here. Lets all act like we believe what Islam says.
Shuhabibi's, the Guys who are more interested in being Arab than Muslim. Oh and I hate Persians, not Iranians, Persians. IRANIANS I like. the difference is, when somebody is a non practicing muslim, and are ashamed of the revolution because they desperately care what the kuffar think of them. If you ask where they're from, they'll say "I'm persian" but if you ask the same question to a proud Muslim, they'll answer "I'm from Iran"
I try to listen to what would be considered Halal by common Shia understanding. The basic Rule of thumb (I heard this from a Sheikh) is, If you were at a party, and everyone was drinking and fornicating and gambling, and you put "such-and-such" a song on, would it kill the mood? If so, then Its halal even for everyday use (obviously not for party use, a Muslim shouldnt even be at such a party) If some drunk Skank would yell out "Oh My god! I LOVE this song!" then, well obviously it's haram.

With this in mind. I like Nasheeds, especialy Lebanese "Party" Music. I like some political Punk, oh and the song John Walkers Blues, Its a classic.
Well lets see, there's that one book... What's it called? Oh yeah, The Holy Quran.
Also, the Nahjul Balagha, The Lanturn of the Path, the Risala of Ayatollah Lankarani, Then I was Guided, Peshawar Nights, Self Building, and a few others. I read ALOT about Islam every single Day. In the Last Five years, I dont know that I have bought any books that didn't have at least something to do with my faith. I spent 19 years as a non Muslim, so there is no time to waste I figure, so better read all I can.

Salaam alaikum wa rahmatullah wa barakatu Brother, Thought I would give my salaams & inquire about what you like to shoot? Is there a group for us rednecks who like guns? Heck my husband & I both love our guns. Maybe its the fact in America we have constitutional rights to have guns, which make us view it differently from the Europeans. I don't know. But I'll follow the rules of showing that sort of stuff, but they didn't say we can't talk about them! LOL

My love of guns leans toward the black powder & shot guns. My husband knows I would LOVE to have a double barrel shotgun someday.

He has a collection of guns, due in part due to his blacksmithing & gunsmithing interests. His oldest gun is an 1860s shot gun he refurbished. But he has some hunting rifles too. Ironically with us working on the never-ending remodeling project, he hasn't got to go hunting for a while. I'd love it if in the future, we could actually organize a hunt where other brothers could fly in to SD for hunting season & the men could just enjoy themselves. I think that would be awesome.

Oops. Sorry I'm babbling on my first post!

Salaam alaikum, ANisah of SOuth Dakota
