wudu and Full Sunnah Salat

Now why am i making this blog?? ... because as a revert I had such a hard time coming across a full prayer and how to do wudu properly ... It took me pretty much 7 months to find the right words and the right information in a manner that I could understand ... so I am posting this blog inshallah to save other reverts from the really long search ...

May this information make it easier on those that wish only to be able to pray sooner and correctly ... ameen

Also if there are any errors feel free to let me know so I can correct anything that may be misleading

 

WUDU

First begin reciting your niyya (intention) to yourself (not outloud) to cleanse yourself of your impurities for the sake of Allaah ta'ala.

Say Bismillaah

1. Wash your right hand with your left, up to and including the wrist and in between each fingers, THREE TIMES. Repeat on your left hand, washing it with your right.

2. Take a handful of water, rinse out your mouth and spit, THREE TIMES. Do this each time with new clean water.

3. Sniff water into your nostrils and exhale the water with the aide of your left hand, THREE TIMES.

4. Wash your face from your hairline to the bottom of your chin, THREE TIMES.

5. Rinse your right arm with your left hand, up to and including the elbow THREE TIMES. Repeat on your left arm with the right hand. Getting your hand wet and rubbing the water on your arm is sufficient.

6. Wet your hands with clean water, and wipe them over your hijab (for women) hair for men, ONCE.

7. Wet your hands with clean water, and with your index fingers, wipe the insides of your ear, then wipe behind the ear with your index and the outter side of your ear with your thumbs, ONCE.

8. Wash your right foot with your left hand, beginning with cleaning between your toes with your lefthand pinky. Then wash the rest of the foot upto and including the ankle, THREE TIMES. Repeat on your left foot with the right hand.

Dry off and finish with this dua:



Ash hadu an laa illaaha ill Allaahu wahdahu laa shareeka lah, wash hadu anna Muhammad 'abduhu wa rasuluh.

Translation:

I testify that there is none worthy of worship but Allaah, alone, who has no partner, and I testify that Muhammad is his slave and messenger.

 

FULL SUNNAH PRAYER 

( recite silently ) I intend to offer  #___ rakats of the __________ prayer, for the sake of Allah and Allah alone.

( hands to ears palms facing out ) Allahu Akbar

Qiyam: ( Place right hand over left at chest level, focus your eyes on the place where you will place your forehead in sudjood, your eyes should not stray from this spot for the entire prayer )

Bismillaahi Rahman nir Raheem

Subhaana kala humma wa beehamdika

wa tabaara kasmuka wa ta'aalaa jadduka

wa laa ilaaha ghairuk

A'uuzu billaahi minash shaitaan ar-Rajeem

Bismillaahir Rahman nir Raheem

Al hamdu lillaahi rabbil 'alameen

Ar Rahman nir Raheem 

Maaliki yaumid Deen

Iyyaaka na'abudu wa iy yaaka nasta'een

Ihdinas siraatal mustaqeem

Siraatal ladeena an 'amtu' alaihim

Ghairil maghduubi' alaihim waladaaleen

Ameen

(now recite Al Ikhlas)

Bismillaahi Rahman nir Raheem

Qul huwallahu ahad / allahussamad / lam yalid wa lam you lad / wa lam yakun lahoo kufuwan ahad

( raise hands to ears, palms facing out ) Allaahu Akbar ( then bend into ruku )

ruku: ( Bend at waist looking at the place you will place your forehead in sujood ) ( while bent say 3 times ) Subhanna rabbiyal 'Azeem  

( Raise arms to ears or shoulders and say ) Sami' allaahu liman hamidah

( With your hands at your sides )Rabbanaa wa lakal hamd

( Standing straight, pause say ) Allahu Akbar

Sudjood: ( Keep right foot pointing toward the Qibala the entire time )

( say 3 times while prostrating ) Subhaana rabbiyal 'Alaa

( while rising to sitting position say ) Allahu Akbar

( while sitting say ) rabbi aghfirlee ... rabbi aghfirlee

( prostrate again and say 3 times ) Subhaana rabbiyal 'Alaa

( rise to go to second rakat and say ) Allahu Akbar

Qiyam:

Bismillaahi Rahman nir Raheem

Al hamdu lillaahi rabbil 'alameen

Ar-Rahman ar-Raheem 

Maaliki yaumid Deen

Iyyaaka na'abudu wa iy yaaka nasta'een

Ihdinas siraatal mustaqeem

Siraatal lazeena an 'amta' alaihim

Ghairil maghduubi' alaihim waladaaleen

Aameen

(now recit An Naas)

Bismillaahir Rahman nir Raheem

Qul A'udhu billaah hin naas / Maalik kin naas / illaahin naas /min sharril was waasil khan naas / aladhia yowas wisu fee sodurin naas / minal jinn nati wan naas

( raise hands to ears, palms facing out and say ) Allaahu Akbar ( then bend into ruku )

ruku:

( while bent say 3 times ) Subhanna rabbiyal 'Azeem

( Raise arms to ears or shoulders and say ) Sami' allaahu liman hamidah

( With your hands at your sides )Rabbanaa wa lakal hamd

( Standing straight, pause say ) Allahu Akbar

Sudjood:

( say 3 times while prostrating ) Subhaana rabbiyal 'Alaa

( while rising to sitting position say ) Allahu Akbar

( while sitting say ) rabbi aghfirlee ... rabbi aghfirlee

( prostrate again and say 3 times ) Subhaana rabbiyal 'Alaa

( Say this in the sitting position ) At Tahiyyaatu lilaahi was Salawaatu wat tayibaatu

As Salaamu 'alaika ayyuhan nabiyyu wa rahmatul laahi wa barakaatuh

As Salaamu 'alainaa wa 'alaa 'ebaadillaahis saaliheen,

( lift your right index finger, with your gaze fixed on it saying ) Ash hadu allaa ilaah ilallaah Wa ash hadu anna Muhammadan 'abduhuu wa rasuuluh ( lower your finger )

( if praying Fajr then sit, and recite peace and blessings upon the prophet )

Allaa humma salli 'ala Muhammad, wa 'ala 'ali Muhammad, kama salayta 'ala Ibrahim, wa 'ala 'ali Ibrahim, innaaka hamidun majid.

then: Allaa humma barik 'ala Muhammad, wa 'ala 'ali Muhammad, kama barakta 'ala Ibrahim, wa 'ala 'ali Ibrahim, innaaka hamidun majid.

(end of second rakat )

( rise and go to third rakat and say ) Allaahu akbar

( end of fourth rakat ) ie Dhuhr, Asr, Isha

To Complete the Prayer: 

Look over right shoulder (toward the angel recording your good deeds), then the left ( toward the angel recording your wrongful deeds )

( Say while turning to right side first ) As Salaamu 'alaikum wa rahmatulaah

( say while turning your face from right to left ) As Salaamu alaikum wa rahmatulaah

( now pray any dua you like and close it with "ameen" )
